Hannah’s contemporary class offers a space where improvisation and structured material co-exist and choice-making is encouraged. Class will begin with an improvisational warmup that encourages dynamics, textures, and imagery to lead the body and mind towards finding new ways of moving. From this research, artists will develop a sense of individuality that promotes growth and connection amongst all individuals in the space. In the second half of class, there will be set phrase work where individual choice-making is welcomed and encouraged. Risk-taking, modifications, and new approaches and perspectives are highly valued in the space. Hannah strives to promote the discovery of the endless possibilities and experiences one can encounter while doing a phrase!
