we are pleased to be releasing the next round of applications for our performance series highlighting emergent choreographers. please note that this set-up of common space is a bit different in comparison to the rest. see details below.

what? we are seeking new dance works that do not exceed 8 minutes to be produced in-the-round. these pieces should be inherently creative and explore something new. we are excited by work that contains multitudes, interesting aspects and varied cast sizes. we want to see your wildest dreams! 

typically, the creature space team selects 2-3 participants per common space. by limiting the time limit of the work, we are now able to welcome more people to the experience. 

when? there will be two sets of common space performances that you can apply to. if selected, choreographers will show work at both shows. you must be able to attend the technical rehearsal listed below accompanying the performance weekends in order to be considered. 

common space 9: march 13-15

tech: friday, march 13th 7:00pm - 10:00pm

show: saturday, march 14th 7:00pm

show: saturday, march 15th 7:00pm

common space 10: may 15 - 17

tech: friday, may 15th 7:00pm - 10:00pm

show: saturday, may 16th 7:00pm

show: saturday, may 17th 7:00pm

if selected, participants may utilize our studio at a discounted rate for rehearsals.
